She was also the first Meteorologist hired by Sinclair Broadcast Group when the company started its first newscast in 1991 at WBFF TV in Baltimore. before joining the 7News-WJLA TV Weather team. She started her meteorologist broadcasting career at the Weather Channel and worked for WABC in New York City, WMAR in Baltimore and WRC in Washington, D.C. Johnson is an Emmy-award-winning meteorologist who has been forecasting weather in the Washington D.C. She joins the 7News' On Your Side evening team of Jonathan Elias, Alison Starling, Michelle Marsh and Scott Abraham.Įarlier this year, Johnson was inducted into the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences "Silver Circle."
